According to Retuya, the first dose is the stimulating dose while the second dose if the booster. "Dili na mobalik pa sa una nga dose. Magpadayon sya nga maghulat sa iyang second dose," Retuya said. "Mas mogana, mas dako ang iyahang booster kung dugay-dugay ang paghatag, especially sa atong AstraZeneca," he added. Retuya said the gap between the first and second dose of the Sinovac vaccine is at least 28 days apart, while the gap for the Pfizer vaccine is at least 21 days. AstraZeneca, on the other hand, has a wider gap of four to 12 weeks. As of June 22, Cagayan de Oro recorded a total of 53,058 individuals who were vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccines. Of the figure, 16,299 were frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 23,379 were senior citizens (A2 group), and 13,380 were persons with comorbidities (A3 group). | Cagayan de Oro logs 66 more Covid-19 cases Posted: 26 Jun 2021 05:27 AM PDT THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro has noticed the continuous improvement in the number of positive coronavirus cases as the city recorded 66 new cases as of 10 p.m. on June 25, 2021. This brought the total number of coronavirus disease infections in the city to 9,770. According to the City Health Office, of the 66 new cases, 14 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, four were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 43 were local index cases, two were local Apors with link and three are mortalities. Cagayan de Oro's active cases also went down to 1,207 cases, 311 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 896 were outpatients. The city also registered 54 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 8,119. The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 444. Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 769, city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported. According to Retuya, of the 769 vaccinees, 532 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 214 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 14 with Pfizer, six with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm. Of the 532 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 386 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 116 were asymptomatic, 27 were moderate cases, and three were severe cases. According to NMMC Research Center Head Dr. Gina Itchon, the quarantine status of Cagayan de Oro City as modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), as well as the continuous vaccination rollout have contributed to the drop in the number of Covid-positive cases in NMMC. "This is the difference betweent he surge last year and this year. Gawas sa mas daghan ang kaso nato karon, naa sad tay bakuna ug mas istrikto nga quarantine status karon," Itchon said. "I think mas dako nga factor ang pagamakuna nato," she added. As of June 24, the NMMC has recorded a total of 2,016 Covid-positive cases, of which 145 are still admitted, 12 are still at the emergency room (ER), 1,441 have recovered and 418 died. Currently admitted at the NMMC's Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Disease (Ereid)/Cereid section are 145, with 100 at the Ereid while 45 at the Cereid in Barangay San Simon, this city. Of the 52 new confirmed cases, 29 were local index cases, 18 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, four were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) with link, and one mortality. Cagayan de Oro recorded 1,202 active cases, 310 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, and 892 were outpatients. The city also registered 79 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 8,065. The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 437. Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 756, city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported. According to Retuya, of the 756 vaccinees, 525 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 209 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 13 with Pfizer, six with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm. Of the 525 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 380 individuals experienced mild symptoms, 116 were asymptomatic, 26 were moderate cases, and three were severe cases. Among the 209 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 139 individuals had mild symptoms, 50 were asymptomatic, 19 had moderate symptoms, and one was a severe case.
