State: School mask requirement remains in place for now
Long Island students will have to wear masks to school on Monday because the state has not formally changed its school mask mandate, despite an announcement Friday that it planned to lift school mask requirements at the start of the week. "Therefore, schools should continue to operate under their existing procedures until further notice," the education department wrote to districts.
