Sunday Scoop: The Fall and Rise of Lindsay Lohan

If you are having trouble viewing this email, click here.

At the height of her fame in the aughts, there wasn't a day actress Lindsay Lohan didn't make headlines: for drunk driving, for drug use, for an 84-minute stay in jail. Her once meteoric Hollywood career faded as Lohan, 34, moved to Dubai with her banker boyfriend to focus on her lifestyle business and nightclub chain. Then, in May, Netflix announced Lohan will star in a holiday rom-com next year. Helping fuel her comeback, insiders say, is a recently unearthed tweet from Chrissy Teigen, who bullied Lohan over her self-harming behavior. Once treated abysmally, women like Lohan, Britney Spears and Monica Lewinsky are now being seen in a new, more sympathetic light. "She was always being used by people, treated like meat by the paparazzi," an old friend of Lohan's told The Post. "She was followed, and friends sold her out left and right. It was hard to watch — and she had no real guidance from her family, even though her mom Dina means well." Get our full story on Lindsay's fall and rise below. Another woman reviving her name is Denise Huskins. Once dubbed "the real-life Gone Girl" for allegedly staging her own abduction, she was forced to fight the police and the media to prove she was actually the victim of a crime. Now she's telling her story of vindication to The Post and in a fascinating new memoir. And summer's finally here, so it's time to celebrate — with the bright stars of the new movie "In The Heights" and a new book that will make you want to take a hike. There's lots more in store, so please enjoy — and have a super Sunday!
