142 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Cagayan de Oro Posted: 01 Sep 2021 05:11 AM PDT CAGAYAN de Oro City recorded 142 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases Wednesday, September 1, 2021, of which three are locally stranded individuals (LSIs), one returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF), and 138 are local transmissions. This brought the cumulative number of infections in the city to 17,242. Of the 138 new confirmed cases, 80 were local index cases, 29 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases; six local authorized persons outside residence (Apors); seven Apors with link; 13 are persons deprived of liberty (PDLs); and three mortalities. Cagayan de Oro recorded 3,461 active cases, 885 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,567 were outpatients, and nine were ROFs/LSIs. The city also registered 78 new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 13,048. The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city rose to 733. Meanwhile, the City Health Office recorded a total number of vaccinated confirmed coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 3,541. According to the City Health Office, of the 3,541 vaccinees, 2,220 were vaccinated with Sinovac; 676 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 242 with Pfizer; 202 with Sputnik V; 191 with Janssen; four with Sinopharm; and six with Moderna. Of the 2,220 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 1,753 individuals are experiencing mild symptoms; 323 are asymptomatic; 137 have moderate symptoms; and seven are severe cases. Among the 676 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 502 individuals have mild symptoms; 123 are asymptomatic; 48 have moderate symptoms; and three severe cases. 18% of Oro's target population fully vaccinated Posted: 01 Sep 2021 05:10 AM PDT A TOTAL of 93,783 individuals or 18.08 percent of the total target population in Cagayan de Oro City have been fully vaccinated as of August 30, 2021. According to the City Government's data, the city's target population for the vaccination program is 518,518. Of the said figure, 198,724 or 38.32 percent got their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines. A total of 294,685 individuals in Cagayan de Oro have received their doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of August 31, 2021. Of the 294,685 vaccinated Kagay-anons, 200,065 got their first dose of the vaccines, while 94,620 were fully vaccinated. According to the report of the City Health Insurance Office, among the 294,685 vaccinees, 224,464 were vaccinated in the city-run vaccination sites and 70,221 individuals were vaccinated in the hospitals. Of the 224,464 individuals vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites, 25,206 were frontline healthcare workers; 52,293 were senior citizens; 70,405 were persons with comorbidities; 71,208 were essential frontline workers; 2,107 were from the A5 priority group; and 3,245 were from the Filipino-Chinese community.
