| More than 300,000 individuals vaccinated in Cagayan de Oro Posted: 03 Sep 2021 01:22 AM PDT THE cumulative number of individuals who have received their doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in Cagayan de Oro as of September 2, 2021 was 304,603, according to the report of the City Health Insurance Office. Of the 304,603 vaccinated Kagay-anons, 204,434 got their first dose of the vaccines, while 100,169 were fully vaccinated. According to the said report, among the 304,603 vaccinees, 230,111 were vaccinated at city-run vaccination sites and 74,492 were vaccinated at Cagayan de Oro hospitals. Of the 230,111 individuals vaccinated at city-run vaccination sites, 25,364 were frontline healthcare workers, 52,401 were senior citizens, 70,946 were persons with comorbidities, 75,819 were essential frontline workers, 2,336 were from the A5 priority group and 3,245 were from the Filipino-Chinese community. Meanwhile, Cagayan de Oro has recorded 63 vaccinated deaths as of September 2. Of the said figure, 30 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 19 with AstraZeneca, seven with Janssen, six with Sputnik V and one with Pfizer. According to the City Health Office, of the 122 new local cases, 52 were local index cases, 47 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 12 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) and five Apors with link. Aside from the new cases, Cagayan de Oro has recorded six new mortalities. Cagayan de Oro now has 3,452 active cases, 853 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,586 were outpatients and 13 ROFs/LSIs. The city also registered 118 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 13,270. The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city has now reached 747 in total. Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 3,663, the City Health Office reported. "If unvaccinated kayo, 17 times more likely na ma-hospitalize kayo due to Covid-19," City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu said. "We really emphasize to people, kung nasa turn nyo na or senior citizen with comorbidities, have yourself vaccinated para at least less likely mapunta tayo sa hospital and we will have hindi mga critical or severe type of symptoms," he added. As of September 1, a total of 984 Covid-positive individuals were admitted to the hospitals in Cagayan de Oro. Of the said figure, 865 were residents if Cagayan de Oro, 93 were from Misamis Oriental, 20 from Bukidnon, one from Camiguin, one from Agusan del Norte, one from Lanao del Sur, one from Dinagat province, one from Lanao del Norte, and one from Iligan City. Meanwhile, a total of 741 Covid-positive mortalities were recorded in Cagayan de Oro City as of September 1. Of the 741, 680 were unvaccinated and 61 were vaccinated. According to Yu, the causes of death of those who were vaccinated mortalities were not related to the Covid-19 vaccine. "That's why we emphasize the need for early consultation. The City Health Office also recorded 103 new Covid-19 cases, three of whom are returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs) and 100 are local cases. This brought the cumulative number of confirmed infections to 17,245. Of the 100 new local cases, 61 were local index cases, 18 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, eight were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), five were Apors with link, and eight mortalities. Cagayan de Oro City logged 3,452 active cases, 875 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,566 were outpatients, and 11 were ROFs/LSIs. The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 741. Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 3,601, the City Health Office reported. Of the 2,259 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 1,782 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 326 were asymptomatic, 144 were moderate cases, and seven were severe cases. Among the 687 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 512 individuals had mild symptoms, 124 were asymptomatic, 48 had moderate symptoms, and three were severe cases.
