| At first, Ryan Graveface thought he opened his museum at the worst possible time: February 2020, just three weeks before a Georgia ordinance forced its closure due to the pandemic. Even after he reopened the doors, four months later, no one was coming to see the oddities on display at the Graveface Museum in Savannah — which include a sign from the Manson Family's Spahn Ranch hideout; packets of Flavor-Aid taken from the scene of the Jonestown cult mass suicide; and the actual spine of Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey. But in January of this year, one of the few visitors posted a TikTok video featuring the place. "It went viral," Graveface told The Post. "And then all of a sudden we have a line out the door every day." Now he has people driving from as far as Boston and Colorado Springs, just to see his serial killer and occult collectibles. In a weird way, the world's real-life horrors have been the best thing that could have happened. As Chris Flam, a guest from Kentucky, put it: "In the midst of a pandemic, normal life seems so scary. Something like circus freaks and serial killers are so surreal and otherworldly that it takes you away from all the worries of mundane, normal life." Graveface's story is just one of the thought-provoking curiosities we present to you this week — along with the shocking affair between an Auschwitz guard and a Jewish prisoner, a most unexpected UFC fight, and the story of the Wild West's most notorious female bandit, Pearl Hart, who tried to pass as a man during her daring holdups.
