Could Motor City be the next U.S. fashion hub?

 
Only 3% of clothes sold in the United States are made in the country, largely in the garment districts of New York and Los Angeles. But there's a movement currently underway to create another fashion hub in Detroit. That's right, the nation's automotive hub is gunning to become its next fashion capital.

I profiled designer Tracy Reese as she uproots her business from New York City and relocates to her hometown of Detroit. There, she's found a community of designers, companies, and factories working together to create the infrastructure that could transform the city into a high-tech, ethical, sustainable fashion manufacturing hub.
