It's a sad day for the design community. Virgil Abloh, the Ghanaian-American designer whose work spanned the fields of art, music, and fashion, died Sunday at the age of 41. He had been quietly battling a rare form of cancer, and his passing came as a shock to many.
Abloh was the most powerful Black executive in the world of luxury fashion, ascending to the role of artistic director for menswear at Louis Vuitton in 2018. But in his two-decades long career, Abloh accomplished so much more than this. In this story, I looked at six unique projects that encapsulate his creativity and passion.
