Carolyn Hax: Wife insists husband’s the reason her friends are leaving her out

I have a much smaller social circle. I've always been like this. I get along well with most of her friends; granted, I have made myself get out of my comfort zone to socialize this much. But she has this one group of friends I just can't connect with, despite really trying to. I don't find anything to talk about with them, and I don't approve of their personalities in general. Recently, for no apparent reason, that group seems to be leaving her (us) out of activities we normally did together. I haven't been rude or unpleasant, but my wife insists it is my fault we are being left out because of the way I am (reserved).
