Less than 100 Covid cases in Oro's top barangays

THE top 12 barangays in Cagayan de Oro City now have less than 100 active Covid-19 cases left.Based on the data presented by the City Health Office, the barangay with the highest number of active cases was Carmen with 81 as of February 27, 2022.It was followed by Barangay Kauwsagan with 79 cases, Lumbia with 58 cases, Balulang with 46 cases, Gusa with 43 cases, Macasandig and Bugo with 33 cases each, Patag with 29 cases, Iponan with 27 cases, Bulua with 26 cases, and Lapasan and Camaman-an with 20 cases each.The cumulative number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro has dropped to 670, of which 112 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 550 were outpatients, and eight are returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals.Meanwhile, majority or 88 percent of Covid-19 mortalities recorded in Cagayan de Oro City were unvaccinated individuals.As of February 27, the city had a total of 927 Covid-19 deaths, of which 819 were unvaccinated individuals while 108 were vaccinated individuals.

Oro logs 11 new Covid cases over the weekend

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro has dropped, with only 11 additional cases reported over the weekend.The city now has a total of 25,582 Covid-19 cases.The City Health Office said of the 11 local cases, three were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and eight were local transmissions.According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the eight new local cases, four were local index cases, one was a local case with link, and two were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).The city also recorded one mortality over the weekend.The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 670, of which 112 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 550 were outpatients, and eight were ROFs/LSIs.Over the weekend, the city recorded 114 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 23,985.The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 927.
