| Zamboangueño athletes win medals in Pencak Silat Posted: 26 Mar 2018 04:12 AM PDT THE local delegation to the recently held 9th UPSI International Pencak Silat Champion 2018 harvested silver medals bringing pride and honor to Zamboanga City.Dr. Cecile Atilano, city sports development officer, said the Pencak Silat Championship was held from March 18 to 26 in Perak, Malaysia.Atilano said the medalists included Mutmainna Asmad, 22, Tanding Senior category; Tyronne Bernardo, 14, Tunggal Men category; Harold Ralph Ungaya, 14; and, Jerome Negapatan, 14, Double Ganda category.Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar conveyed her message of congratulation to the athletes stressing that the City Government is continuously proud and inspired to work for the betterment of its sports and youth development programs.
