In less than three days, it will be July Fourth. And we all know what that means: sales! Oh, and I guess America will be turning 246-years-old, too. It's true, though. With the impending holiday weekend and Amazon Prime Day just around the corner, it feels like we're seeing more and more deals each and every day. However, even if you refuse to become a paying Prime subscriber, you can still get nearly 50 percent off a multitude of products right now, including Amazon's 2018 Kindle Paperwhite and a number of refurbished soundbars from Sonos. And if you are a Prime member, well, you're in luck, as Amazon is already offering new all-time lows on 4K TVs, security cameras, and so much more. Below, we've curated some of the best deals we've seen so far this week, but be aware that this is just a glimpse of what's out there. For even more discounts and sale reminders, be sure to bookmark our roundups of the best July Fourth sales and early Amazon Prime Day deals. Happy Fourth, all! |

Planning on bringing books to the pool or beach this summer? You may want to consider picking up an affordable, waterproof e-reader instead. Right now, the Amazon's last-gen Kindle Paperwhite is on sale for nearly half off its usual asking price. Regularly $129.99, you can buy the ad-supported, 8GB model in select colors for just $129.99 on Amazon. If you want more storage, you can also buy the 32GB, ad-supported configuration in select colors for $89.99 instead of $159.99, which is an all-time low on the capable e-reader. As far as specs go, the last-gen Paperwhite has quite a bit in common with the most recent model. The 2018 e-reader is waterproof, so you won't need to worry about it getting wet, and it boasts a six-inch, 300ppi panel and support for Audible audiobooks. While it doesn't charge via USB-C (it uses Micro USB), support adjustable color temperature, or offer monthslong battery life like its newer counterpart, it remains an affordable alternative that starts at $20 less. Have you always wanted a Sonos soundbar or speaker, but have been turned off by the price? Today is your lucky day. Right now, Sonos is offering a rare opportunity to save on select soundbars, assuming you don't mind purchasing certified refurbished products. That's because Sonos is discounting a number of items, including the first-gen Beam. Normally $399 when purchased new, you can currently buy the Alexa-equipped soundbar direct from Sonos for $191.40. Save for lacking Dolby Atmos support and an eARC HDMI port, this is a good, general-purpose soundbar that is otherwise a lot like the newer model from last year. And in case you're worried about it being refurbished, know that Sonos tests and cleans each product before pairing it with a one-year warranty and a 45-day money-back guarantee. Read our review. |

At its core, Samsung's latest version of The Frame looks to combine a smart 4K TV with a classy piece of art. When turned off, the QLED TV displays artwork that resembles an actual canvas, thanks to an anti-glare, low-reflection matte coating. When turned on, however, it becomes a smart 4K TV adorned with a tasteful frame and a fast 120Hz refresh rate. While it lacks full-array local dimming and support for Dolby Vision like some other similarly priced televisions, it's still a unique TV in a class of its own, one that is currently being discounted in all size configurations at Woot. Right now, for instance you can buy the 55-inch model with a one-year warranty from Samsung for $1,259.99 instead of $1,499.99. If you're looking for a smart 4K TV that's significantly cheaper, Prime members can buy Amazon's 55-inch Fire TV Omni on Amazon for $299.99 instead of $559.99, which is a new all-time low. While the 55-inch configuration lacks support for Dolby Vision, it does feature low input lag for gaming, support for HDR10, and excellent integration with Alexa. Just be aware it only comes with a 60Hz panel and lacks local dimming. Read our review. |

Let's face it: no one wants to spend their precious hours waiting on their PlayStation 5 or PC to load applications and games. Luckily, Samsung's 1TB, heatsink-equipped 980 Pro NVMe SSD can help you cut back on load times, and is currently on sale for $169.99 instead of $229.99 at GameStop and Amazon. If you're a GameStop Pro member (which costs $14.99 per year), you can also save an additional $35, which drops the final sale price $134.99. Opting for the "pro" sale saves you $95 off the MSRP, while the rest of us plebs are still saving a respectable $60. Keep in mind that picking up an SSD with a heatsink is the only solution for expanding the fast (though slightly limited) storage of the PS5. The 980 Pro is up to the task thanks to its read speeds of up to 7,000MB/s. It also makes for a fine core M.2 SSD for your own custom PC build. |

- If you're looking for a budget-friendly security camera, Amazon is currently discounting several Blink bundles. Right now, for instance, Prime members can buy a battery-powered Blink Video Doorbell for $34.99 instead of $49.99. The 1080p camera offers two-way audio feeds and night vision, as well as support for Amazon Alexa and local storage (without a Blink subscription).
Now until July 8th, Password manager Dashlane is taking 50 percent of its premium plans when you use promo code summerfun50 at checkout. Thus, instead of paying $6.49 a month, you'd be paying $3.25 to store an unlimited number of passwords on as many devices as you'd like, while enjoying more storage and extra security features. If you're in need of a basic smart speaker, you can buy a Google Nest Mini for around $30 at Walmart and Best Buy right now. These small, colorful speakers sound good and can connect you to tunes, podcasts, and Google Assistant. Read our review. In the market for a home mesh Wi-Fi router or an upgrade to your existing one? Amazon-owned Eero is running a pre-Prime Day sale. The new Pro 6E router, for example, supports the 6GHz band and promises Wi-Fi speeds over one gigabit, as well as wired speeds of well over two. A single router normally retails for $299, but is on sale for a new low of $179 at Amazon. Read our review.
