Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), the vice chair of the committee, said former president Donald Trump tried to contact a witness. The individual, who has not yet publicly testified, did not respond to Trump but rather contacted their lawyer. "This committee has supplied that information to the Department of Justice," Cheney said. "Let me say one more time.
