After losing her friends in the carnage at Robb Elementary School, 10-year-old Caitlyne Gonzales has emerged as the massacre's most public survivor. She's spoken at rallies in Texas and to U.S. senators in Washington. She's demanded at school board meetings that the police officers who failed to save her classmates be fired. To the adults cheering her on, Caitlyne is a portrait of resilience, living proof that the hundreds of thousands of American children who live through school shootings can recover from them. But Caitlyne has not recovered.
