| | |  | The leader of the Oath Keepers denied any involvement with the Capitol riots. | - Stewart Rhodes, founder of the extremist group, testified in court yesterday that there was no plan of attack on Jan. 6 and that he was not involved in stockpiling arms near Washington.
- Why it matters: Rhodes and his group are on trial for seditious conspiracy. His defense has been that there was no order, decision or agreement by him or four co-defendants to use force to prevent the certification of President Biden's electoral win.
| | | | | | |  | The Silver Line extension to Dulles Airport opens in one week. | - What to know: It should take 22 minutes from Wiehle-Reston, the current end of the line, to Ashburn, the new end. The trip from the airport to downtown D.C. is just under an hour.
- Catching a plane: An underground walkway connects the Dulles station to the airport. The walk takes about five minutes.
| | |  | A chicken heiress is auctioning her 400-year-old ring to help Ukraine. | - Mitzi Perdue, 81, the daughter of a co-founder of Sheraton Hotels, married into the Perdue Farms fortune. She plans to use the proceeds from the sale of the emerald ring to build shelters for women at risk of trafficking at the Ukrainian border.
- About the ring: The jewel was rediscovered in 1985 on a Spanish shipwreck and is valued at $50,000 to $70,000. Bidding starts Dec. 7.
