Business Alert: Businesses are cutting workers’ hours — forcing hundreds of thousands into part-time roles — in a warning sign for the economy

The number of people working part time, though they want full-time work, rose by 450,000 in June, the biggest jump in more than three years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
