- How he got here: Harris owns NBA and NHL teams, and made a run at two football franchises — the Denver Broncos and England's Chelsea FC — before the Commanders became available. NFL owners approved his $6.05 billion purchase from Dan Snyder last week.

- The judge said Vigna deserves a new trial because of how poorly his lawyer had defended him. Vigna, 56, was freed on a $100,000 bond. His 48-year sentence was also thrown out.
