Rear Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., commander of the Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM), said the joint team was on maritime interdiction operation when they intercepted a watercraft Wednesday dawn, April 28, in the seawaters off Recodo village, west of Zamboanga City. He said each ambulance is supplied with vital emergency medical equipment such as oxygen cylinder, heavy duty stethoscope, folding stretcher, scoop stretcher, automatic external defibrillator, nebulizer, portable suction machine, examining light, and aneroid sphygmomanometer, among others. Two units of mobile phones were also supplied for the ambulance's driver and the town's medical officer use. The ambulances were procured by the Office of the Chief Minister under the Health Facility Enhancement Program 2019 of MOH-Barmm.
