Families of people killed by police are left without answers while King County’s inquests are stalled

The county inquest process, long criticized as flawed, has been tied up in legal challenges. "I want the inquest to go forward so I can finally know what happened, how my son's life ended," says the mother of Damarius Butts, killed by police in 2017.
