Carmen holds most number of active cases in Oro

BARANGAY Carmen is still the village with the most active cases in Cagayan de Oro as of Wednesday, June 30, recording a total of 118 active cases.

The total number of active cases in the city has reached 1,069, of which 342 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, and 727 were outpatients.

According to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya, following Barangay Carmen are barangays Kauswagan, recording 105 active cases; Bulua with 83 active cases; Balulang with 70 cases; Iponan with 66 cases; Patag with 52 cases; Lumbia with 52 cases; Bugo with 50 cases; Gusa with 49 cases; Lapasan with 46 cases; and Macasandig with 45 cases.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of June 30 is now at 63,261, of which 51,190 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 12,071 are fully vaccinated.

According to Mayor Oscar Moreno, of the 63,261 vaccinated individuals, 17,435 are frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 27,370 are senior citizens (A2 group), and 18,456 are persons with comorbidities (A3 group).

Cagayan de Oro logs 47 more Covid-19 cases

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro reported on Thursday, July 1, 47 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases of 10,031.

Of the 47 new cases, 32 were local index cases, eight were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, six were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and one mortality.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 1,069 active cases, 342 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city and 727 were outpatients.

The city also registered 36 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 8,486.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 476.

Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 832, city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported.

According to Retuya, of the 832 vaccinees, 567 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 229 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 27 with Pfizer, six with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm.

Of the 567 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 407 individuals experienced mild symptoms, 126 were asymptomatic, 30 were moderate cases, and four were severe cases.

Among the 229 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 156 individuals had mild symptoms, 53 were asymptomatic, 19 had moderate symptoms, and one was a severe case.
