15.31% of Oro's target population fully vaccinated Posted: 17 Aug 2021 06:15 AM PDT A TOTAL of 79,422 individuals or 15.31 percent of the total target population in Cagayan de Oro have been fully vaccinated as of August 15, 2021. According to the City Government's data, the city's target population for the Covid-19 vaccination is 518,518. Of the said figure, 165,351 or 31.88 percent got their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines. A total of 247,877 individuals in Cagayan de Oro have received their doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of August 16, 2021. According to the data presented by Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno during the daily press briefing at city hall, among the 247,877 vaccinees, 187,863 were vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites and 60,014 were vaccinated in Cagayan de Oro hospitals. Of the 187,863 individuals vaccinated in city-run vaccination sites, 24,506 were frontline healthcare workers, 51,976 were senior citizens, 67,199 were persons with comorbidities, 40,567 were essential frontline workers, and 3,615 were from the Filipino-Chinese community. Active Covid-19 cases in Oro rise to 2,646 Posted: 17 Aug 2021 06:14 AM PDT THE number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases and active infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to climb, as noted by the City Health Office. The number of active Covid-19 cases in the city increased to 2,646. As of 10 p.m. Monday, August 16, the City Health Office recorded 162 new cases, 81 of which are local index cases, 47 are local cases with link, 23 are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), six are Apors with link, and five mortalities. This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 15,094. The city's active cases, on the other hand, were composed of 780 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 1,866 were outpatients. Cagayan de Oro also registered 52 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 11,801. The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 647. Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated confirmed coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 2,529, the City Health Office reported. According to City Health Office, of the 2,529 vaccinees, 1,609 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 497 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 178 with Pfizer, 134 with Sputnik V, 105 with Janssen, three with Sinopharm, and three with Moderna. Of the 1,609 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 1,240 individuals are experiencing mild symptoms, 256 are asymptomatic, 107 have moderate symptoms, and six are severe cases. Among the 497 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 361 individuals have mild symptoms, 99 are asymptomatic, 34 have moderate symptoms, and three severe cases.
