Some are investing in cryptocurrency as a way to boost their finances outside the traditional banking system, which had once denied home and business loans to residents of Black and Latino neighborhoods. Washington Post colleague Silvia Foster-Frau spotlights Penelope and America Lopez, who managed to pay off one of their parents' mortgages through investments in cryptocurrency. Also in this edition, a physician is traveling to provide abortion in places where people would otherwise not have access, and meet a pastor who defied the odds to create a diverse congregation in West Virginia.
