Official: One NYPD officer shot dead, one wounded in NYC
One NYPD officer was killed and another was critically wounded in a shooting in Manhattan on Friday night, the NYPD commissioner said. The officers were shot in Harlem when they responded to a domestic dispute, police said.
Islanders legend Clark Gillies dies at 67
Gillies was one of 16 Islanders players who won four straight Stanley Cups from 1980-83 and also was a member of the group that set the NHL record of 19 straight playoff series wins.
