Cagayan de Oro shows continuous decline in new Covid cases Posted: 28 May 2022 11:09 PM PDT CAGAYAN de Oro has seen a continuous decline in new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases as the city logged less than five cases for weeks.Cagayan de Oro has recorded only one new local index case, bringing the cumulative number of infections to 25,862.According to City Health medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., the lone new local index case is an unvaccinated eight-year-old male from Barangay 26 who is asymptomatic.Cagayan de Oro's active cases have also gone down to six, all of which were outpatients.The total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro is now at 24,915.The number of Covid-19 related deaths remains at 941, with no new Covid-related deaths recorded in the city.

Cagayan de Oro only has 4 barangays with active cases Posted: 28 May 2022 11:08 PM PDT ONLY four barangays in Cagayan de Oro have recorded active cases as of May 27, 2022, the City Health Office reported.Based on the data presented by the Cagayan de Oro's health office, only Barangay Lumbia had three active cases, while Barangays 26, Nazareth, ans Puerto and Kauswagan had one each.The cumulative number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro has dropped to six, all of which were outpatients.Majority or 87 percent of Covid-19 mortalities recorded in Cagayan de Oro City were unvaccinated individuals.As of May 27, the city had a total of 941 Covid-19 deaths, of which 823 were unvaccinated individuals while 118 were vaccinated individuals.
