The Legion line of laptops from Lenovo may sound a little cringey, but let's be honest, it's par for the course when it comes to gaming stuff. Though what's exceptional about this laptop from 2021 is its great specs combined with a nice, large 16-inch display that's got a 16:10 aspect ratio. Huzzah! A gaming laptop with the right dimensions, so it's also great to use as a regular laptop that isn't devoid of vertical space. That screen on the Legion 5 Pro has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and this laptop packs a RTX 3070 GPU, AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU, and 16GB of RAM. When our own Cameron Faulkner reviewed it last year, one of the few knocks against it was the 512GB storage, but this deal from Antonline offers it with a 1TB SSD and it costs $1,479.99 ($230 off). That's a great value for an excellent performer with nice port selection and user-upgradeable RAM. |

It's well-documented that The Verge loves a quality standing desk, and the gold standard for many of us is the Jarvis line from Fully. But what if I told you that one of your near-and-dear bargain-hunting Verge writers has firsthand experience with another standing desk that offers very good quality for much less? (This is Antonio talking here. Hello there!) The Flexispot EN1 Standing Desk is currently available on a one-day deal from Amazon for $259.99 ($90 off), and while it may not be as fancy as a Jarvis, it's stable, easy to assemble, and performs nicely with its motorized sit-stand functions and multiple memory settings. I got one of these in 2021 as a secondary desk to my main setup, and I personally love it. If the white-on-white look isn't your style there are some other variants of differing sizes and materials also on sale today at Amazon. If you're like me and want a standing desk that is a bit more affordable without compromising for utter crap, these Flexispots are nice. |

Steam and Nintendo are both running big summer sales on all kinds of games |
Every summer is also a great opportunity to catch up on some quality gaming time. But why try putting a dent at your massive backlog of titles when there are exciting deals to be had on all kinds of games, both new and old. We covered these summer sales a bit yesterday, but if you missed it here are some especially-good deals worth your attention. Over on the Steam Store, The Jackbox Party Pack 8 is perfect for gathering some friends together in person (or streaming remotely with them on Discord) for some trivia-fueled party game silliness, and it's $20.99 (30 percent off). The recently-launched Neon White and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge both have 10 percent discounts to save you a few bucks. The former is a speed-running FPS with anime vibes while the latter is an arcade brawler that's also compatible with Steam's remote play function, so you can play co-op with up to five friends using just one copy of the game. At the Nintendo eShop, if you haven't played Monster Hunter Rise and you like a great co-op online RPG it's definitely worth your hard-earned $30.59 (49 percent off). Tetris Effect: Connected is on sale for $23.99 ($16 off) and possibly one of the coolest-looking games to play on the vivid screen of the Nintendo Switch OLED. And if you want some portable nostalgia, Diablo II: Resurrected is $23.99 ($16 off). The 2001 remaster just got new updates and kicked off its first ladder season. |
