Politics Alert: Judge rejects Stephen K. Bannon’s bid to delay Jan. 6 contempt trial, tosses executive privilege defense

Bannon, the former Trump chief strategist, was indicted in November on two counts of contempt of Congress after refusing to comply with the Jan. 6 House committee's subpoena issued earlier for his testimony and records about his actions leading up to the riot at the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob.
