World Alert: Iraqi cleric calls on supporters to suspend their attacks on the government after 24 hours of deadly violence

Moqtada al-Sadr told his followers to withdraw immediately from the government buildings they had stormed in a day of fierce fighting that killed dozens. "I apologize to the Iraqi people," Sadr said in a televised address.
