We are in the swing of things here at our house - trying to get organized and keep track of all the schedules, get different school supplies for different classes, and make sure we've read all the communication from our schools. One thing that we heard several times before the first day for our middle schooler was a reminder that cellphone use at school is not permitted. This is not a new rule here, but I think kids were gradually using them anyway as the days rolled along last year. It's a tough thing to police, but schools across the country are grappling with cell phone rules, and parents are divided on the issue.
