Business Alert: Markets rise after Fed chair suggests interest rate hikes will slow

Major stock indexes all closed up more than 2 percent on Wednesday after Fed Chair Jerome H. Powell hinted in a speech that the central bank will begin to ease up on its aggressive rate hikes.
