Post Exclusive: Biden to commit to protecting hundreds of thousands of acres in Nevada from development, honoring tribes

President Biden will announce Wednesday that he supports a push by the Fort Mojave and 11 other tribes, along with environmentalists and local residents, to protect a broad swath of land in southern Nevada, according to a senior administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the announcement was not yet public. The coalition has been pushing to expand protections around Avi Kwa Ame, or Spirit Mountain.
