Health Alert: Medicare plans to expand coverage for a new class of Alzheimer’s drugs pending FDA approval, which is widely expected this summer

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the agency that runs the federal health program for seniors and those with disabilities, said it would cover the cost of the drugs for anyone enrolled in the outpatient part of Medicare who meets the coverage criteria.
