News Alert: Federal judge strikes down the Biden administration’s asylum restrictions for migrants

Judge Jon S. Tigar in the Northern District of California ruled that the restrictions imposed in May are unlawful and that migrants on U.S. soil should be able to apply for asylum under federal law, whether they crossed at an official checkpoint or not. The ruling will not take effect for two weeks.
