| New coronavirus infections in Oro only at 2 Posted: 02 Dec 2021 07:22 AM PST THE City Health Office recorded only two new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro, bringing the cumulative caseload to 20,420. All of the two new confirmed cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases. Cagayan de Oro also recorded a drop in the number of active cases, which is at 156. Of the figure, 30 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 126 were outpatients. The number of coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered" increased after the city registered two new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,414. The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 850, with no new Covid-related death recorded in Cagayan de Oro. | Over 3,000 children 12-17 years old fully vaccinated in Oro Posted: 01 Dec 2021 07:36 AM PST A TOTAL of 46,140 children aged 12 to 17 years old in Cagayan de Oro have already received their doses of the Covid-19 vaccines, the City Health Office reported Wednesday, December 1, 2021. According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the 46,140 vaccinated minors in Cagayan de Oro, 3,677 are fully vaccinated and 42,463 have already received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Yu said the number of children in the city who have already pre-registered in the vaccination rollout is 48,102. Of the figure, 1,738 are children with comorbidities. As of November 30, 802,209 individuals in Cagayan de Oro have already received their doses of Covid-19 vaccines. Of the figure, 488,057 got their first dose of the vaccines, while 313,449 were fully vaccinated. Among the 802,209 vaccinees, 60,548 were frontline healthcare workers, 75,606 were senior citizens, 138,389 were persons with comorbidities, 348,454 were essential frontline workers, 38,592 were from the A5 priority group, 94,480 were from the ROAP priority group, and 46,140 were from pedia A3 and ROPP priority groups. The relatively lower cases brought the number of active Covid cases down to 156, 31 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 125 were outpatients. All of the five new confirmed cases are local cases with link, bringing the cumulative number of infections in the city to 20,418. Cagayan de Oro also registered only one new coronavirus-positive person who was now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,412.
